My friend, uberDJ and musician Marley Carroll sent me this awesome, and mesmerizing, piece.
I think there’s a wealth of really innovative, melodic, and generally high-quality remix projects like this to be created. Matthew Herbert’s incredible remix of Karin Krog’s spacey 1970’s jazz/fusion tune ”The Meaning Of Love” was a particularly huge inspiration to me, as are classic collages like Endtroducing and De la Soul is Dead.
It’s definitely a genre I can’t wait to explore on my own…
