In my mind, the concept of an “attention subscription” is most clearly exemplified by what it means to be a *fan* of a creator.

When you become a fan, it is a default state until you make the proactive decision to opt-out or “cancel” your fandom.

Happy to pass along some more music/entertainment focused learning.  If you read my comments here (and this is a must-read piece/conversation for artists), I hope the folks reading this here blog will see a more direct connection b/w the business of being an artist and the stuff I usually blog about.

That is to say: all this stuff about econ and strategy is highly applicable to the average musician.  I explain some of that in my second comment on this post.
